Canvas Ceramic Coating

In HVAC systems, canvas refers to a durable fabric material applied over insulated ductwork and chilled water pipelines. Its primary purpose is to protect the underlying thermal insulation from physical damage, moisture, and general wear and tear—thus prolonging its service life.

Canvas is typically made from woven cotton or polyester fabric and is commonly available through local suppliers or insulation fabricators. It is applied as an outer layer, often over nitrile rubber or fiberglass insulation, using adhesive and occasionally paint or coating to seal the surface.
