Air Conditioning Systems

Air Conditioning Systems for Commercial and Industrial Buildings

Zenvent Engineering supplies, installs and maintains air conditioning systems for offices, shops, hotels, hospitals and industrial buildings. The right system depends on the size of the space, how many zones need separate control, and whether ducting or a chilled water plant is already in place.

Single rooms and small offices are usually served by split, window, cassette or tower units. Multi-room and multi-floor buildings are better suited to multi-unit, ducted, package or VRV / VRF systems. Server rooms and process areas that need tight temperature and humidity control use precision air conditioning, while chilled-water (hydronic) and DX systems cover larger central plants.

Air Conditioner Types

Cassette Air Conditioner

Ceiling-mounted units that distribute air in up to four directions, common in offices and showrooms.

Ducted Air Conditioner

Concealed units that deliver conditioned air to several rooms through ductwork.

Split Air Conditioner

One indoor unit paired with one outdoor unit for a single room or small office.

Multi-Unit Air Conditioner

Several indoor units connected to one outdoor unit, each with its own temperature control.

VRV / VRF System

Variable refrigerant systems that serve many zones from shared outdoor units with individual control.

Package Air Conditioner

Self-contained units with all components in one cabinet, used for halls and larger open areas.

Tower Air Conditioner

Floor-standing vertical units for large rooms where wall or ceiling mounting is not possible.

Window Air Conditioner

Single-cabinet units fitted in a window or wall opening for small rooms.

FAQ

Air Conditioners: Common Questions

What's the difference between VRV and VRF systems?

VRV (Variable Refrigerant Volume) is Daikin's proprietary term, while VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) is the generic term. Both refer to the same technology that allows multiple indoor units to connect to one outdoor unit with precise refrigerant control for energy efficiency.

Which AC system is best for a large commercial office?

For large commercial offices, we typically recommend VRV/VRF systems or ducted AC systems as they offer centralized control, energy efficiency, and can serve multiple zones with individual temperature control.
