Ventilation or Fresh air Duct Work

Ventilation ducting refers to the integrated system of ducts, vents, and fittings designed to regulate and facilitate the flow of air into and out of a building. It plays a critical role in maintaining indoor air quality by removing stale air, excess moisture, and airborne pollutants while introducing fresh, conditioned air into the environment.

In HVAC terminology, "ventilation ductwork" is commonly associated with fresh air ductwork. While exhaust ductwork is effective in extracting heat and contaminated air, it does not supply replacement air. To ensure proper air exchange—particularly in enclosed or high-occupancy spaces—ventilation ducting is essential for drawing in clean, outdoor air and distributing it evenly throughout the building.
